What a treat to have passion flowers as a companion during this transition from Summer season to Fall. While I love Fall dearly, it is still quite a feat to go from the happy-go-lucky stamp of time that Summer is into the season of death and decay. Fall offers such a beautiful time of harvest and reaping the sewn seeds. And it offers a time of celebration and crisp coziness before the darkness of Winter. Death and destruction have a valuable place in this world and offer a service that nothing else can. It is quite beautiful. And still it has a quality of darkness that takes some adjustment coming from the brightness of Summer. Fall has an essence of introspection and prioritization. Summer always brings a vibrant energy that instills power and freedom. A season that shows possibilities and and boundless adventure of spirit. And that rolls perfectly into a season that begs you to let go of whatever is no longer serving you. To take things down to a minimum of what is necessary and nourishing. To really observe and give gratitude for all that has been blessed into abundance in your life. The end of summer brings a bittersweet taste. It is beautiful and yet has an ominous feel of the seasons to come. Where the work is done in the darkness to bring another even more bountiful season of light in the next cycle. What a perfect time to reflect on what the Spring and Summer’s season of light has brought and taught. And to bring to the forefront the intentions for the next spiral in the cycle. The passionflower’s intricate beauty is a perfect symbol for this time. Still light like Summer, but also bearing the darker color qualities of seasons to come. And so lovely. Because the whole cycle is beautiful and filled with love. What a perfect stamp of beauty to be with at this time.
